What is the minimum bending radius that Flex-wit can be curved to? In the WIT General pdf, a minimum radius of 75mm is mentioned for the copper tube. Is this the same for Flex-wit?
Cheers,
Ian

MODRATEC in MRJ
Hi all, Just wanted to make mention of two articles, recently published in the UK modelling mag, Model Railway Journal. In issue #178, there is a fantastic article on building a 60 lever frame - yes 60 levers!!!! In issue #179, another article describes how a MODRATEC frame was modified and ...

Thanks for the info. >> when marking tappet notches, regard a normal lever as being >> towards you, and a reversed lever as being away from you. In regards to this, does that mean I have to operate the frame 'in reverse', ie all levers would normally be towards me, or do you mean only when marking o...

Mounting the lever frames with locking behind
Hi all, I am in the process of beginning to design my home layout and have been thinking of how I will incorporate the MODRATEC frames into the layout's construction. My question is: Could the frame be installed 180 degrees from normal ie with the interlocking/tappets etc coming out from the rear in...

Printed signal diagrams
It's great to finally see the lever kits will be shortly available. :D In previous discussions on the beta version, I made the suggestion that if the kits come with a printed signal diagram, which it looks as if they will, the option to select a railway prototype would be nice. NSW railways don't ha...

Facing Point Locks (FPL's)
Hi all, Further to my original post, I have since found out that FPL's in NSW signal boxes are locked when in the reverse position. Therefore SigScribe4 is correct in the way FPL's work. (for NSW at least). This differs in ground frames. If anyone else has more info, every little bit helps. Cheers, ...

Clearance bars
In regards to '4rail's' question on clearance bars, I belive the device operates similar or in conjunction with an FPL. If its what I'm thinking of, the bar consists of a length of point rodding U-channel that sits adjacent to one rail head and is pivoted up or down along its axis, generally operate...

Suggestions for SigScribe4 - 2
I would like to see some way of the user being able to select a certain prototype. Obviously, the system has been designed around UK practices. For example, NSWGR's Distant arms are red with the white chevron, as opposed to the current yellow/black arm. At present, the system won't allow me to alloc...

Suggestions for SigScribe4
Not sure whether it can be done, but I found when working through the tutorial, that using the 'H' and 'V' keys to toggle the symbols was annoying. Why not be able to select the required 'item' for a right-click drop down menu? I find the more you can use the mouse to drive a program, the better. Ju...

Facing Point Locks (FPL's)
In working through the tutorial, I have noticed that SigScribe4's operation of FPL's appears reverse to that of NSWGR practice. I will try to confirm this, but I believe that with the FPL lever 'normal', the point is locked. To unlock the point, the FPL lever must be 'pulled' to the reverse position...
